Characteristics is a black and white portfolio documenting my experience as a first-year college student through the lens of architecture, structural rigidity, and organization. It includes the items, places, and motion that make up my day to day life alongside self-portraits that capture my reaction to that space. In this union, I record the physical and emotional state of being away from home for the first time, and the experience of creating a new home in a dorm.
